Our Story in Number

The Generation (G)ender program envisions gender-just and violence-free societies for young people. The project partnership was strategized to raise public support, advocate for responsive policies and laws, and strengthen civil society resilience as a way to contribute to gender justice and fight against gender-based violence. The project is implemented in Uganda through 3 consortium partners i.e. Centre for Health, Human Rights and Development (CEHURD), The Uganda Association of Women Lawyers (FIDA Uganda) and Reach A Hand Uganda with support from Sonke Gender Justice, Rutgers International and the Dutch ministry of foreign affairs.
The partnership addresses three key interrelated societal challenges: gender-based violence, the unequal division of care and women’s lack of access to civic space.
