The Intergenerational Dialogue is the premier gathering for the young and old,
policy makers, Civil Society Organizations and individuals committed to creating interactive Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) generational conversations.
It is an opportunity to assess where the current policies on young people’s SRHR needs stand, evaluate SRHR generational developments and lessons learnt, and collectively chat a way forward to meet the young people’s SRHR needs.
The Intergenerational Dialogue is a high magnitude advocacy activity that will pull together high level players, actors and stakeholders.
This year we plan on having the Rt. Hon. Ruhakana Rugunda, The Prime Minister of the Republic of Uganda as the chief guest. By employing this strategy, we will urge him to influence the attendance of permanent secretaries and members of senior management teams including Permanent Secretaries in the 3 key Ministries i.e Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES), Ministry of Health (MoH) and Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development (MGLSD) and Members of Parliament (MPs). The IGD draws the curtains on the major strides we have made both as RAHU and as a platform (Voices for Heath) in high level advocacy through phase 2, and we envision that the momentum gained from this event will act as springboard for all partner activities in phase 3.
