Get your Mix Out #GYMO
Get Your Mix Out is a behavioural change communication program designed and implemented by RAHU in schools. Initiated in 2014, the GYMO project uses innovative, strategies to create awareness and mitigate the sexual health risks among young people that would otherwise limit their right to enjoy quality education. The program has so far reached young people across schools in the central and Eastern Region with youth-responsive services including topics on Menstrual Health Management, life skills, teenage pregnancies, drug and alcohol, personal hygiene, body changes, and mental health.

#iKnowKati
“I Know” campaign; After a while of focusing on 12-24 year olds, RAHU realised that the out-of-school youth, that is 25-35 year olds, are being affected by reproductive health challenges and HIV largely due to inadequate information. Through the iKnow campaign, we bridge that gap by carrying out sensitization activities within communities and partnering with health service providers to bring SRHR services such as HIV Testing and Counselling closer to them.

BNN – Billi Now Now
Reach A Hand Uganda (RAHU) with support from Planned Parenthood Global (PPG) is championing the Billi Now Now (BNN) Movement/Community in Uganda, Billi Now Now is a global campaign seeking to create a community of a billion bold young people to advocate for their needs and rights, this movement will continue to strengthen and amplify the voices of young people in Uganda who want to speak out what they want and believe in boldly. The movement/community objective focuses on capacity building and creating awareness to generate a movement of young people who are equipped with accurate and adequate information and skills to make informed choices and live healthy and productive lives. The movement is currently being pioneered through interventions leveraging on the already existing networks of peer educators as billies across 80 secondary schools, 5 universities, 5 tertiary/technical institutions and other communities.

Lydia Community Representatives Project
The Lydia community representatives project is a project implemented by Reach A Hand Uganda with funding from DKT-Uganda. The program focuses on increasing access to SRHR services for young people and women of reproductive age with an emphasis on Modern contraceptive uptake in private health facilities. Through the RAHU-peer-to-peer model, The Lydia community representatives disseminate SRHR information and generate demand for services that are offered at selected private facilities in 4 districts of Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono.

Inter-Generational Dialogue – IGD
RAHU is the main convener of the Intergenerational Dialogue, The IGD is an annual advocacy event organised in collaboration with like-minded organizations, the event brings together diverse voices and interests to facilitate youth-adult p partnerships, foster powerful dialogue, and innovate towards gender equality and improved Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for adolescents and young people.
