The U-Decide is a 2-year program being implemented by Reach A Hand Uganda in partnership with ACODEV in the districts of Kasese, targeting young people between 12 - 24 years - being implemented in 11 sub-counties. The program is using the peer educator model where young, passionate and enthusiastic people are being empowered with SRHR and FP information and skills with a goal of strengthening the linkage to health facilities for referrals for both young women and girls of childbearing age.RAHU peer educators will reinforce and complement their work by pushing demand towards them through referrals for the FP commodities and to health facilities for more detailed service provision. In collaboration with health facilities, partnerships with private clinics will be sought to further facilitate the provision of services such as abortion and Emergency Contraceptive Methods. Clinics such as Marie Stopes and Profam will be identified in the districts for these reasons.
