Youth Connect is a two-year project implemented with support from the IZUMI foundation targeting young people aged 15 - 24 years with the highest vulnerabilities for AYSRHR in Bugamba sub-county, Rwampara district in Southwestern Uganda. The overall expected impact of the project is contributing to the reduction in mortality rate resulting from limited access to SRHR information and services among young people.
The program is strengthening health systems by supporting public health facilities to improve service delivery and meet the high demand for AYSRHR services. RAHU complements the efforts at the health facilities through peer providers who are community-based health providers who are attached to the facilities focusing on self-care (HIV and Family Planning) to reduce the burden of client numbers at the facilities.
